• Violations:

1) Injured and wounded:

*Bustan al-Qasr: casualties were injured by the shelling near one of the mosques.

*Bustan al-Qasr: the head of the Garage checkpoint crossing was fired at by some of the abusers who claim to be affiliated with the Free Syrian Army. The Sharia council opened investigations in the matter and vowed to hold accountability for the abusers.

*Kallaseh: dozens were injured due to the warplane shelling in the afternoon.

*Aleppo: someone was minorly wounded due to the shelling of the eastern areas in the evening.

*Aleppo countryside - Deir Hafer: someone was injured by the cluster bomb shelling in the late afternoon.

*Aleppo countryside - Bayanoun: casualties were injured, including women and children, due to the heavy artillery shelling of the town in these moments.

*Aleppo countryside - Deir Hafer: casualties were injured due to warplanes dropping cluster bombs on the city in the late afternoon.

*Aleppo countryside - Ma’aret al-Arteeq: a number of civilians were injured by Assad militia snipers after midnight:

2) Kallaseh: 3 residential buildings were destroyed due to the warplane shelling of the neighbourhood in the afternoon.

3) Mashariqa: activists reported the repetition of torture operations being carried out by military security soldiers at the checkpoint in front of Tufaha bakery in the neighbourhood a number of times. An eyewitness reported that regime forces occupied a number of civilian houses in Mashariqa neighbourhood and that some of these houses are being used as torture prisons for detainees, whose fates are most likely to be death under torture. The area of Mashariqa is considered to be the only liberated district that links between the districts under the control of the Free Syrian Army and those under the control of regime forces in Aleppo city. It is a route which thousands of civilians in Aleppo take daily. Activists documented the following responsible for the torture operations:

*Bashar Skeif, called ‘Abu Emad’. He is a warrant officer in the military security.

*Husam, called ‘Abu Ja’far’, from Fo’ah village in Idlib.

*Impact of the shelling of Khan Bin al-Waleed mosque:

6) Aleppo countryside - Deir Hafer: warplanes used a number of bombs, considered to be a type of cluster bombs, to shell the city in the late afternoon. It should be noted that it is the second time that these missiles have been used in Aleppo province. Warplanes targeted Tel Rif’at with these bombs on 01/08/2013.

1) Bustan al-Qasr: clashes took place between the Free Syrian Army and Assad’s militia at dawn.

8) Itha’ah: clashes took place between the Free Syrian Army and Assad’s militia at the broadcasting and television building.

9) Hamdaniyeh: clashes took place between the Free Syrian Army and Assad’s militia near the police station in the evening

10) Neirab military airport: clashes took place between the Free Syrian Army and Assad’s militia in the evening.

11) Zahraa’: clashes took place between the Free Syrian Army and Assad’s militia at the air intelligence [mukhabarat] branch in the evening.

12) Leiramoun: clashes took place between the Free Syrian Army and Assad’s militia in the evening.

38) Aleppo countryside - Deir Hafer: female Maryam Ahmad al-Abdul-Omar, 70 years, wife of Muhammad Abu Idrees, was killed during a Sukhoi warplane air raid, which targeted the villages Hamimah and Tel Ayoub with TNT explosive barrels.

6) Minnegh: first demonstration since the liberation of the airport calling for the fall of the regime and chanting for the Egyptian people.

7) Minbej: demonstration from most mosques of the city calling for the fall of the regime and condemning the assassination of the scholar Shaykh Abu Sa’eed al-Deibo, imam of the Great mosque, who was assassinated at dawn yesterday by unidentified gunmen when he was going to perform dawn prayers. The demonstration called for revenge against it.
-Abteen: demonstration calling for the fall of the regime and calling for the accountability of those responsible for flour in the southern countryside.

8) Anadan: demonstration from Hamza mosque after a long absence of peaceful movement, in protest of the bloodshed in Mayadeen an-Nahda and Rabi’ah in Egypt. Military leaders from the FSA participated.

3) Sokaree: the Sokaree clinic, part of the Islamic Sham commission, directed a letter to all hospitals and medical clinics in the liberated areas of Aleppo requesting a paediatrician consultant physician for cardiovascular diseases (open heart/congenital heart lesions) to visit the clinics in Sokaree and Sha’ar as of last Monday 12/08/2013 until 27/08/2013 from 10am-2pm, or in Hakin hospital in Sha’ar from 3pm-8pm.

4) Aleppo countryside - Safira: the Sharia council addressed a message to members of the Free Syrian Army stationed at checkpoints in the liberated areas to not arbitrarily arrest civilians from Tal’aran and Tal Hasel, and not to arrest any person except for the wanted names, according to the wanted lists.

1) New Aleppo: security forces besieged Mutabanni school yesterday, which is located south of the neighbourhood, to catch one of the shabeeha, with no known reason for their disputes amongst one another.

2) Saif al-Dowleh: activists reported that regime forces gathered some young men by force at Zeino crossing on Tuesday evening, where they used them as human shields, and forced them to chant for the Assad regime.
