• Violations:

1) Injured and wounded:

*Kallaseh: civilians were injured when 2 tank shells fell in the late afternoon.

*Bustan al-Qasr: the number of wounded by snipers from Mashariqa rose to 4 people, including an elderly man and a child.

*Aleppo: a number were injured, and civilians are in a state of panic due to the artillery shelling that targeted the districts of Ashrafiyeh, Shaykh Maqsoud and Bani Zaid.

*Aleppo countryside - Atareb: a number were injured by the machine gun fire from warplanes.

*Western Aleppo countryside - Orem al-Kubra: civilians were injured due to the warplane shelling.

*Aleppo countryside - Mansoura: civilians were injured with minor wounds in the morning due to the artillery shelling.

3) Bustan al-Qasr: female Muna Karbouj was killed by the shelling yesterday. Her body was recovered from underneath the rubble today.

4) Bustan al-Qasr: an unidentified woman was killed by the shelling yesterday. Her body was recovered from underneath the rubble today.

5) Bustan al-Qasr: a child from the Majouz family was killed by the shelling yesterday. His body was recovered from underneath the rubble today.

6) Bustan al-Qasr: Ayman Mustafa Qasheet, 25 years, was killed by the shelling yesterday. His body was recovered from underneath the rubble today.

1) Aleppo countryside - Kafr Sagheer: the operation theatre for the northern countryside distributed aid to civilians in the of village Kafr Sagheer and requests that they report any abuses committed by a revolutionary.

1) Sokaree: electricity returned to some parts of the district, including Wadi road and Tal al-Zarazeer, after they had been cut-off for over 9 months.

2) Kallaseh: a search operation continues for martyrs and survivors trapped underneath the rubble.

3) Hamdaniyeh: an activist reported that Assad’s militia distributed masks to their soldiers in the Assad military academy that protect from chemical substances. Activists warn civilians and those concerned that the regime could target areas of Aleppo with chemical weapons and accuse the FSA.

Report for the massacre in Bustan al-Qasr/Kallaseh district in Aleppo province 16/08/2013
==========================

The districts of Bustan al-Qasr and Kallaseh, in Aleppo city, underwent artillery shelling in the morning, which was renewed in the afternoon and again in the late afternoon. Warplanes also shelled the districts at dawn and again the late afternoon, with explosive TNT barrels being dropped from them.

Dozens were injured and killed as a result, with the death toll currently at 29 confirmed martyrs. Civilians were wounded when a shell landed near one of the mosques in Bustan al-Qasr. 3 residential buildings in Kallaseh were destroyed.

Search operations continue up until now, hours after the massacre took place, with survivors and bodies of casualties fallen trapped in the rubble.
